Detectives arrested 22 suspects racking up 58 total charges during “Operation End of the Roadway” that targeted a group running an illegal drug operation out of local Rodeway Inn hotels in Clearwater.
When:
“Operation End of the Roadway” began in January 2016 and is still on-going.
Where:
The operation occurred at the Rodeway Inn hotel located at 16405 U.S. Highway 19 in Clearwater and at the Rodeway Inn hotel located at 28596 U.S. Highway 19, also in Clearwater.
Why/How:
Detectives arrested 22 suspects during “Operation End of the Roadway” that targeted a group responsible for running an illegal-drug operation at two Rodeway Inn hotels in Pinellas County.
The investigation began in January 2016 when narcotics detectives noticed an uptick in calls for service from two Rodeway Inn hotels in Clearwater.
During the course of the investigation, detectives say they tracked the drug activity in the hotels located at 16405 U.S. Highway 19 and 28596 U.S. Highway 19 in Clearwater. Over the course of approximately 4 months, 34 suspects engaged in drug activity with undercover detectives leading to a total of 58 criminal charges.
The illegal substances that were purchased included: a .22 Caliber Revolver, Crack Cocaine, Crystal Meth, Heroin, LSD, Marijuana, Morphine, and Xanax totaling approximately $10,940.00 dollars.
The suspects arrested during “Operation End of the Road” are listed below with their charges. They were all transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
