Deputies and Local Police Agencies to Conduct County-Wide DUI Wolf Pack This Weekend (25-150)
PINELLAS COUNTY - This weekend, deputies
from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, alongside multiple partner agencies,
will conduct a DUI Wolf Pack operation to target impaired drivers on Pinellas
County's roadways.
Participating agencies include the Florida Highway Patrol, Kenneth City Police
Department, Largo Police Department, Gulfport Police Department, St. Petersburg
Police Department, Tarpon Springs Police Department, Treasure Island Police
Department, and Clearwater Police Department.
The operation will run from 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, through
5:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2025. We will be maintaining a strong and
proactive presence on the county's busiest thoroughfares.
This initiative reflects the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office's ongoing
commitment to reducing traffic-related deaths, injuries, and property damage
caused by impaired driving. The Wolf Pack's mission is to educate motorists and
raise public awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence of
alcohol, chemicals, or controlled substances.
This operation is dedicated to the memory of the Marion Miller who was
tragically killed by an impaired driver on April 5, 2023 , in Dunedin.
On the evening of April 5, 2023, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Miller’s vehicle
was struck by an impaired driver traveling at a high rate of speed, who ran a
red light. The impaired driver was under the influence of both alcohol and
marijuana.
Impaired driving is a crime with no intended target, and any innocent motorist
could be its next victim. We proudly dedicate this operation to Marion Miller
as we continue the fight to prevent such senseless tragedies.
