Detectives Investigate Attempted Murder-Suicide in Seminole (25-100)

SEMINOLE – Detectives assigned to the Robbery & Homicide Unit are investigating an attempted murder-suicide.

On August 22, 2025, at approximately 5:19 p.m., deputies responded to 14557 Anchorage Circle in Seminole for a report of someone shot. When deputies arrived on scene, they located the victim, 58-year-old Kimberly King-Judd, at a neighbor’s residence, advising that her husband had shot her.

Deputies learned her husband, 65-year-old Steven Grossman, was still inside the residence and armed with a firearm. Deputies attempted numerous times to communicate with Grossman from an armored vehicle, but he would not exit the residence. Deputies eventually made entry into the residence and found Grossman in the living room with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives learned that King-Judd recently filed for divorce after ongoing domestic issues. King-Judd was inside the residence with Grossman when he began making threatening statements. King-Judd attempted to leave when Grossman began firing a gun. She exited the residence and fled to her neighbor’s residence next door.

King-Judd was transported to the hospital, where she was treated for a non-life-threatening graze wound to the back of her head. Grossman was also transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Next of kin was notified.

The investigation continues.
