Safety Harbor Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography (26-043)
SAFETY HARBOR– Detectives assigned to the Cyber Investigations Unit have arrested a Safety Harbor man for Possession of Child Pornography.
Detectives began their investigation after receiving information that child pornography files were being accessed and shared via the internet. Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 75-year-old David Reitmeyer.
According to detectives, the files were of children under 8 years old.
During the investigation, detectives learned Reitmeyer was the Director of Information Technology at Countryside Christian Academy. Reitmeyer has been terminated from employment, and the school has been cooperative throughout the investigation. There is no indication of Reitmeyer participating in any illegal activity while on the property of the school.
On May 14, 2026, Reitmeyer was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on nine counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
