PINELLAS COUNTY – Deputies are searching for a missing swimmer last seen in the area of 3850 Gulf Boulevard in St. Pete Beach.


According to detectives, on July 3, 2026, at approximately 9:15 p.m., deputies responded to a call for service where it was reported that a male could not be located after going for a swim in the Gulf around 7:00 p.m. Deputies searched the surrounding local businesses, and the Marine Unit and Dive Team conducted a search of the water.


Primary search efforts were suspended due to weather conditions and were resumed the morning of July 4, 2026.


The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit, Dive Team, and Flight Unit are actively searching for the swimmer with the assistance of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
