Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) Investigates Fatal School Bus vs Pedestrian Crash in Oldsmar (25-125)

OLDSMAR - On October 15, 2025, at approximately 7:45 a.m., deputies responded to Forrest Lakes Boulevard and Pine Avenue, after receiving a report of a male hit by a school bus.

According to investigators, 75-year-old Timothy Mullin was turning left from Pine Avenue onto Forrest Lakes Boulevard when he struck 88-year-old Julio Cobaich who was crossing Forrest Lakes Boulevard from north to south in the crosswalk.

Cobaich was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Speed and impairment do not appear to be factors in the crash.

There were two juveniles present on the bus at the time of the collision. The driver and juveniles were uninjured.

Next of kin has been notified.

The investigation continues.
