Detectives Investigate Inmate Death; Death Does Not Appear Suspicious In Nature (25-089)

PINELLAS COUNTY – Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are investigating the death of 35-year-old Raleigh Lindsey.
Detectives say Lindsey was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on June 6, 2025, at 11:52 a.m., by the St. Petersburg Police Department for one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and one count of Failure to Appear for Trespass After Warning.
According to detectives, on July 24, 2025, at approximately 12:35 p.m., Lindsey was transported to the hospital for medical reasons. While still at the hospital on July 31, 2025, at 5:14 a.m., Lindsey was pronounced deceased.
At this point in the investigation, detectives have found no evidence that Lindsey was involved in any physical altercations or sustained any injuries while incarcerated at the jail.
Lindsey’s next of kin has been notified.
The investigation continues.
