Director Kristi Wong

Kristi Wong joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office as Human Resources Director in 2025. She provides strategic leadership in managing personnel programs including recruitment, benefits administration, classification, compensation, compliance, and workforce development.

She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University, and is a Society of Human Resources Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), a Public Sector Human Resources Association Senior Certified Professional (PSHRA-SCP), as well as a Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

She has served in the public sector – both municipal government and not for profit – for more than 30 years. She has 25 years of experience in various positions in human resources, 12 of which have been in an executive level role. Before coming to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office she was Director of Human Resources and Risk Management for the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners.
