Major Jose Camacho

Major Jose Camacho joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 1999 and oversees the Support and Health Services Bureau. He has worked in patrol, the Department of Detention and Corrections, the STAR Team, Strategic Enforcement Section, Violent Crimes Taskforce, and the Violent Offender Warrant Unit. He has been a Special Operations sergeant, a Narcotics sergeant and lieutenant, a Property Crimes lieutenant, and was captain of the Threat Management Division, Facilities and Administrative Support Division, and the Central District Station. He is a graduate of the Florida Sheriff’s Association Commanders Academy and the DEA Drug Unit Commander Academy.
