Great American Teach-In
The Great American Teach-In is scheduled for November 18, 2026. We are accepting requests for speakers and assets for the Great American Teach-In (GATI) from September 1, 2026 through October 9, 2026. If your request is for a date other than November 18, please submit our regular Speaker & Asset Request form.
We are pleased to offer a variety of subject matter experts, equipment, and specialty units to schools in our community. They are as follows:
Vehicle Displays or Demonstrations
- Helicopter
- Marine Vessel
- Armored Vehicles
- Patrol Vehicle
- SWAT
- Canine Unit
Speakers and Presentations
- Law Enforcement Deputy
- Detention Deputy
- Forensics
- Personal Safety
- Social Media Safety
Before submitting your request, please note the following:
- Confirmations will take place as soon as possible, but the majority will occur between October 9 and October 21. We appreciate your patience as we receive a high volume of request.
- While the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has countywide jurisdiction, we will prioritize requests from schools within our service area.
- The goal is to ensure our agency reaches as many schools as possible in our service area. The number of requests from a certain school will also be taken into consideration.
