Internship Opportunities
Gain valuable professional experience while supporting the mission of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. PCSO internships give students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge, learn from experienced professionals, and gain practical, hands-on experience in a public safety environment.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office offers internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to gain hands-on experience and apply their education in a real-world public safety environment. Internships are position-specific and may be available in a variety of areas within the agency, including law enforcement operations, detention services, administrative functions, and specialized support roles, depending on the needs of individual divisions and the semester.
Interns work alongside experienced PCSO professionals and receive guidance and mentorship throughout their internship. Depending on the internship, students may gain exposure to agency operations, participate in projects and community safety initiatives, and develop a deeper understanding of careers in public safety.
To participate, students must be eligible to receive college credit for the internship through their accredited college or university. Supporting documentation from the school will be required as part of the application process.
Internships are unpaid, and schedules are coordinated between the student and the host division based on the requirements of the internship and the student's academic program.
Current internship opportunities and their specific requirements may vary by semester. To view available opportunities, search PCSO job postings using the keyword "Intern."
